THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME
my internship is going to end in another 5 days time, earlier than expected bcos of the entitled annual leave and public hols and off day... i am going to miss Raffles. really... i've grown so attached to my team-mates there, everyday, everyweek for the past 5 months, at least 8 hrs a day i'm in Raffles. when i wake up, i get ready to go to work at Raffles, i reach home, i go slp and den i make my way to Raffles again. Its has become part of my life.
Everyone in Raffles, have welcomed me so warmly each time i go to work or get off work. from the security dept, helping me sign out a pager for me, to the uniform auntie who got my uniform ready for me to change, and along the back of the hse, its not a feeling of unknow but a place of true hospitality, with exchanges of "good morning, grace!", "have you eaten" to "how are you?" and up the lifts to M floor where my pantry is. A pantry that is never quiet, always filled with vibrant tones ("This is Dass, your valet etc...") to the frantic walking footsteps of my colleagues, answering svc call or just servicing suites. Raffles, a place where the true professionalism and passion for service excellence that everyone thirsts for. Something i find so special abt Raffles is that, service is so consistent, its not superficial, example very attentive to guests but glum-looking with colleagues. everyone here, cares for guests as much as for their colleagues. Especially prominent in room valet dept, where i'm working. I can't bear to leave Raffles...
