In a span of 12 hours i experienced different emotions:
Relieve, Honoured yet disappointed, Happy
In the morning, my mom called and said that she's going to ask my dad to book for me my air-ticket: so i'm officially leaving on the 6th July 2005 at 9.05pm. I was relieve in the sense i could plan my time now.. organise my belongings and a list of to-do stuffs.. and arrive earlier into brisbane to settle down and get to know surroundings and do my bank a/c etc...
In the afternoon, i went to meet javern at Expo for the PC show. *thanks javern for accompanying me as well as providing IT advices to my mom and myself. In the midst of touring the whole of Hall 6. I received a phone call from TP. i was thinking to myself.. oh my goodness when can SAA stop calling me and bothering me.. it never ends. But thankfully it wasn't SAA it was Mrs Thomas from Business School, Communication Skills tutor.
She told me that i was shortlisted btw Myself and Ian to be the Valedictorian (the one who gives the speech) of the graduating class of the hospitality cohort for our Graduation Ceremony. She wanted to interview the both of us before selecting. I was soo soo extremely happy! Seriously.. i felt honoured and happy and i was overjoyed.. i wanted so much to experience it.. i've heard of this Valedictorian but have never been shortlisted for one.. thus my overwhelming joy!
BAM! back to reality.. i'm leaving on the 6th which is 7 days ahead of my Graduation... means i can't attend.. means i cannot be the Valedictorian. sad i'm but... like what lyd says "maybe its all meant to be.. i lose something i gain something else". But honestly, i can't feeling honoured yet disappointed. aH~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *screams - So near yet so far. Damn.
In the evening, when my mom arrived. we told her we cut-down our choices from the many to Acer and Dell. Finally, i got my laptop. Dell 700. It weighs only 1.7kg. I added extra stuff, such as hard disk space, increase the battery cell, norton internet security etc.. i'm HAPPY! got my thumbdrive kingston 1GB, optical mouse from logitech as well as my web-cam that i got FREE from spinning the wheel at DELL.
