Every saturday i make it a point to spend it with my dad and mom.
We start off the day by attending Novena.
Today was no different.
In the afternoon when my dad and i were on the way to RELC, we took upon the chance to tour the Shang. (Shangrila Hotel) - the view of the pool from the lobby =)
Enlightenment
This talk was by a lady named Vessula, she is a greek but born in egypt and ever since 1985 she has been living in 3rd world countries helping with God's work.
It's amazing. i've never felt so strong in my faith before.
She talked about her relationship with God, and the way it was conversed seemed simple. It made me want to be that way too.
I believe that it was God's will that i attended the talk and got to listen to her preach. I was in awe.
One of the vital messages conveyed by God through her were:
The big R - Repent.
God wants us to repent.
Stop sinning.
Stop the evil-doings. (the devil gains pleasure when we do wrongful doings - satan wants to prove to God that He was wrong in creating us, satan wants to destroy us)
God wants to reconcil with us, when He paid the price by dying on the cross, He redemmned us of our sins. However, we refuse to change still. What fools we are.
Confess and sin no more.
As the time of Christmas comes, the saviour is born, its a good time for all of us to do a self-reflection. How can we be more Christ-like. In times of doubt - ask God, What would Jesus do? Pray not only for people we know, but those we don't. All these will not be possible if you are not willing to let God take control. Ask and you shall receive.
Praise the Lord for all that He has given me!
I ask and pray that Lord will touch each one of your heart the day it touched mine this afternoon.
