Thank Goodness that All's Good!
service management presentation is over,
and luckily my dream didn't come true!
*phew
my day with the GM of Sofitel, Brisbane was an eye-opener,
we learnt in the textbooks abt the GM role in the hotel,
but what could be better than actually observing him at work,
i watched him talked to the Directors,
i sat through the budgeting with GM and Financial controller,
i realised that i'm becoming quite a good interviewer,
because when i go to these placements,
i've to ask questions,
to tap into their experience, knowledge and their thoughts,
in short its been amazing, everytime!
*i'm so glad i got the Sofitel placement!
in addition,
the research that i've been struggling with - cost controls to achieve maximum profitablilty for the hotel is almost complete,
finally, after reading two textbooks and serveral journal articles.
*i'm optimistic, one step closer to the completion of the this project, weightage 50%.
and i like being at home,
i just bought scented candles,
and my room is filled with the "awakening" scent smell,
no wonder i feel so fresh even at 1215am,
which its normally my sleeping time.
*takes deep breathe.. ahhhh
